In 2017, I moved from California to Florida and transitioned my career from tech to research. Since then, I have served Florida’s Manatee County residents as a Florida Department of Health COVID-19 Case Investigator, interned as a qualitative data analyst, was a teaching assistant for undergrad chemistry students, and children’s tutor for the Gators for Refugee Medical Relief organization.
In 2021, I received my MPH from the University of Florida’s College of Public Health and Health Professions. My public health interests are public health policy, social and behavioral health, infectious disease epidemiology, immigrant and refugee health, trauma-informed approaches, healthcare accessibility, women’s health, and maternal and child health.
Currently, I am the research coordinator for the Learning Health System Program at the University of Florida’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute. I engage in various research and translational activities, including implementation of research, managing study development and their respective regulatory activities, and data collection and analysis.
